How to Look Slimmer

Need to look slimmer in a hurry? There a multitude of tricks to create the illusion of a slimmer body; here's how!

Step 1.Stand up straight.
When you slouch, you look heavier than you really are. To make the body slimmer looking, sit up straight; shoulders back and chin up. Adopting this habit can make you instantly look 5 pounds slimmer.
Step 2. Wear clothes that are form fitting.
Let's just say that you don't have the stereotypical "perfect" body. That doesn't mean that you have to hide behind moo-moos or loads of billowing clothes. To make the body slimmer, wear something that is form fitting and flattering for your body shape. Do, however, avoid clothes that are too clingy.
Step 3.Wear a body shaper.
Depending on what you consider your problem area, you could try a hip slimmer, a stomach slimmer, etc. If you are in a hurry to look slimmer, try slipping into one of the many quick fixes out there meant for wearing under your clothes.
Step 4.Wear dark colors.
Dark colors tend to make people look slimmer; hence the Little Black Dresstheory. Dark clothes make you look smaller, the same way that dark colors can make a room appear smaller.
Step 5.Flaunt your favorite body part.
Choose your favorite part of your body and use your clothes to draw attention to it. If you like your legs, wear a skirt that shows them off, and be more conservative about the body parts that you might feel self-conscious about.
Step 6.Don't over-accessorize.
Too many accessories can make you look heavier. To look slimmer, try minimal accessories that are not too large. Steer clear of clothes that look "busy", as well; ruffles on clothes often occur in unfortunate and unflattering places.
